Surviving Cancer - Mands trip of a lifetime

My name is Sam and I am writing this on behalf of my dear friend Mand. For those of you who know Mand, she is the kind of person we all wish we were more like. She is the kindest, most generous person I have ever met and will do anything for anyone. In February, Mand was diagnosed with breast cancer. She has undergone a lumpectomy and had her lymph nodes removed and now faces 5 months of chemotherapy, followed by radio therapy. This journey has been made all the harder by the lack of financial support, as she doesn't qualify for any financial help from any charities and was only in her Job for a few weeks prior to diagnosis. This means that she is surviving on the basic statutory sick pay which is barely enough to get by. I want to support her by raising money to help her have the much deserved holiday of a lifetime following her treatment. In September Neil will be doing the Great North Run to raise money for Mand.
