Melissa was informed during a routine ultra sound that her
precious baby girl, kyleigh Faith, has a CONGENITAL
DIAPHRAGMATIC HERNIA (CDH). Although
this is a life threatening birth defect, Melissa and her family know that their
baby girl is being held in the hands of our father. She has enough faith to move mountains and
knows that through Jesus miracles do and will happen! She and her husband T.J have made it clear
that they are willing to make any sacrifice necessary to ensure their beautiful
blessing receives the best possible care available. To them, this is not a troublesome sacrifice;
this is what God has called them to do in order to raise this little girl up to
give back to him. During this process, Melissa
and T.J will have to leave their jobs and head to Houston beginning at 35 weeks. Houston's
Children's Hospital specializes in the care and treatment of CDH. They will remain there for an undetermined amount
of time, until baby Kyleigh Faith is released to come home, which could be
several months. This will require both
T.J and Melissa to leave their jobs but continue to support their three
beautiful children, pay their mortgage here in Temple while maintaining a new
temporary residence in Houston, as well as pay for medical bills not covered by
insurance and any and all other living expenses. Melissa and T.J are not questioning their decision,
no; they are completely walking by faith and not by site. Giving up is not an option, this fight has
only just begun. The financial burden they are facing is overwhelming at
a time when they need to be focused on Kyleigh Faith's recovery. I ask that you
will keep them in prayer first and foremost. And for all of you, who contribute
financially, please know that your generosity is greatly appreciated, and we
know that God will bless your efforts. As one of Melissa's very best friends I ask
each and every one of you to please donate whatever you feel led to give, any amount,
large or small will make an impact in the lives of this wonderful family. Those of you that know Melissa and T.J know
what a great Christian family they are. They have selflessly given to their church,
their community, and have been available to anyone in need. Now it is our turn to bless this family by
being the hands and feet of Jesus.
