Support--RICK STRONG!
Donativo protegido
To my compassionate peers in the Pavilion, I wanted to humbly and sincerely thank all of you in advance for your prayers and donations for Rick.
The urgency of my request is because Rick has been out of steady work since February, 2017. It was at this point Rick's doctor informed him that he had a cluster of pre-cancerous cysts on the tail of his Pancreas, but it was nothing to worry about: so they set a return appointment six months out.
Rick attempted to return to work full-time, but his frequent loss of energy and constant generalized pain told Rick all was not well. Rick went back to see his doctor in October, 2017, as instructed. During this visit Rick was given the diagnosis of "Stage 2 Pancreatic Cancer."
Surgery was immediately scheduled for Oct, 20th, 2017 to remove the above mentioned clusters of cysts and a quarter of his Pancreas. After discharging from the hospital, Rick spent the next 2 months convalescing at home as he began a regiment of aggressive chemotherapy treatments.
Rick's passion for his patients convinced him to return to work on December 27th, 2017. After 4 weeks of courageous effort working his shifts, it was obvious to all who love Rick something was not right.
Rick was hospitalized for 11 additional days with complications from his surgery and chemo treatments. Rick has been off work ever since!
His doctor will not permit Rick to return to work until he completes his chemo treatments and has a chance to regain his strength. Rick is hopeful he can return to work by the end of summer or early fall this year, as long as he does not experience any other set backs during his treatment.
Rick has been blindsided by the unexpected loss of income and the ongoing bills from his treatment.
THIS IS WHAT CREATES SUCH AN URGENT NEED FOR IMMEDIATE DONATIONS!
Big or small, every dollar goes to Rick to pay medical bills and will allow Rick to pays his ongoing bills to survive.
We can take comfort in the fact that as a follower of Christ, Rick as been able to turn his fear into faith, believing God has a plan for him, including his recent health issues.
When I recently met with Rick, I was taken back by Rick's positive attitude concerning the illness. Rick is a man whose life is guided by his spiritual beliefs. Rick puts his trust in Christ which allows him to find acceptance and peace during this challenging period.
Rick's spiritual beliefs are best expressed by his following words which state his worldview so concisely:
Simply put, life without Christ is a hopeless end: with Him it is endless hope!
Please join me in removing one of the main obstacles that Rick is facing during his battle with cancer. Together we can take away the worry of financial issues so Rick can focus on getting healthier. Make a donation TODAY!
Also, any help getting this "gofundme" page out to all who know Rick is greatly appreciated.
