Laid off Restaurant workers in my community

You might have heard that we are going through a global pandemic. Many will lose their jobs, if they haven't already. The consequences of this are unfathomable.
Perhaps to fight against Covid-19 we need to employ the same strategies as the virus uses against us. It moves from person to person in clusters of infection. Let us move from person to person in Clusters of Affection to fight for each other.
To fight fire with fire, our response must be local and within the clusters of people in our life: our family; our work colleagues; our children; grandparents; our deli guy; and everyone who we come into contact with regularly.
We need to identify our Clusters of people that we are in close contact with, find out who will be in the worst situation, and all work together to make sure that they can get through this, as we all will.
My Cluster includes those that I have worked with in hospitality in NYC at three different restaurants. While all my workmates and myself have lost our jobs, those I identify as the ones who need the most help are those who will not be eligible for unemployment benefits. They may not be able to access these benefits, or may fear seeking benefits. This fund is to benefit those who cannot collect benefits and face hard times ahead.
All donations will be shared equally among people that I know who cannot get assistance elsewhere, so that they can meet their day to day needs while we all fight against Covid-19.
All help will be greatly appreciated by those in need. Of course while we recognize that donating at this time may be difficult, small amounts can make a huge difference to your Cluster.
I encourage others to look into their own clusters in this time and identify those that need the most help.
