On Christmas day and just 18 days after his 39th birthday, Joshua "JD" Jones, Sr. lost his life in a vehicular accident right in front of his wife Tori and one of their sons. On a sunset ride, JD was on a dirt bike and traveling with a group of family and friends when he was cut off by someone in a sedan who was turning across their lane. With no time to stop, he T-boned the car and was ejected from the bike.
JD was a pillar in his Pahokee, FL community. He coached youth football, even using his own money to cook and serve food to the entire football and cheer team during every home game, and he was the lead mechanic at the family's car repair shop where Tori assisted him. As the primary breadwinner in the family, this unimaginable loss is devastating to the Jones family on multiple levels. In addition to this, Tori fractured her right foot as she tried to reach her husband during the accident.
We are reaching out for support as the family continues to recover in this challenging New Year. With this fundraiser, we hope to help relieve them of some of the burden of living expenses, financial obligations for their business, grief counseling, and any other expenses that may arise from this sudden loss. Your support would mean so much and would be greatly appreciated. We really hope that you can find it in your heart to give.
