Supporting Jeff Marquard's Leukemia Fight

Just last week Jeff was happy, healthy, living life and making everyone’s life brighter as he is known for.  That all changed on Saturday, August 1st when he found out he had Leukemia and some complicating factors with a quick onset – nobody expected this.  Our friend, colleague, mentor and peer is now fighting and all the times Jeff and his family - wife Tara, sons Hank and Lou stepped up for others in need, it is time to band together and get the support they need to take care of the home front.
 
Jeff and Tara have helped many – stories of care, compassion and helping their friends and neighbors poured in.  Watching friend’s children with minutes notice in the middle of the night for emergencies, sitting with those in times of need to just be a friend, and rushing over to make sure friends were okay are ways his family has selflessly helped us all.  This is who the Marquard’s are and while we can’t sit by their side right now and return the favor, we need to ensure that Tara, Lou and Hank can sit by Jeff and their Dad’s side with the support of his extended family.  One close friend puts it that we are all part of his family, just a family who just happens to have a different last name.  As you know, Tara has been working hard as a nurse, in these trying times, and let our network show the support she needs now to be at his side and focusing on him and her lively boys!   
 
A long road waits ahead for Jeff, we need to support him to get him back on his feet, enjoying slowing down traffic in his Volkswagen bus, being that pal helping in the woodshop, or that hunting buddy willing to help drag a deer out of the thicket for a friend.  We need to get Jeff back to his family, and we all want our dear friend back to lend his welding skills, complete a home project, or just have a beer and talk about life.
