Our family is asking for support for my sister-in-law, Angela, and her 13-year-old daughter during an incredibly difficult and heartbreaking time.
In April, Angela was diagnosed with rapidly progressing ALS, a devastating disease that has already brought significant changes and uncertainty to her life and her family’s future. While they were still learning how to navigate this diagnosis, Angela’s husband and the father of their daughter, Jeff, unexpectedly passed away in his sleep on Wednesday following a brief illness.
He was an Army combat veteran who served his country and his company proudly. He was also a husband, a devoted father, and an important source of love, support, and stability for his family. His sudden passing has left Angela and their daughter facing overwhelming grief while also managing the daily challenges and increasing medical needs associated with ALS.
Angela is now faced with funeral expenses, household bills, medical care, mobility and accessibility needs, and the responsibility of planning for her daughter’s future, all while coping with the loss of her husband and the progression of her illness.
Those who know Angela know that she is strong, independent, and not someone who would easily ask for help. Right now, however, she and her daughter need the support of their family, friends, community, and anyone who feels led to help.
Donations will be used to assist with funeral and memorial expenses, ongoing household costs, medical care and equipment, accessibility needs, and financial support for her daughter. Any amount, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference. If you are unable to donate, sharing this fundraiser and keeping Angela and her daughter in your thoughts and prayers would mean so much to our family.
Thank you for supporting them through this unimaginable loss and helping provide some security, comfort, and peace during the difficult days ahead.
