Support Workers Detained and Deported in Princeton ICE Raids

Donación protegida
We are seeking your support for the workers who were abducted during the ICE raids in Princeton this July.

Some are still being held in detention centers across New Jersey, Louisiana, and Mississippi. Others have already been deported, sent back to their home countries to start over from scratch.

These were our neighbors, our coworkers, our friends. After years of living and working in this community, their sudden absence is deeply felt.

They gave so much, and now it’s our turn to give back.

Let’s show the strength of our economic power and solidarity by supporting the families they were forced to leave behind and fighting for those still in detention.

William’s Story

William came to the U.S. from Guatemala with one dream: to build a better life for his family. He worked hard in a local restaurant, while his brothers did landscaping. One morning, as he and two coworkers stood outside a grocery store eating breakfast, they were ambushed by eight ICE agents. No warning. No chance to speak.

His coworkers managed to escape. William was taken.

Axel's Story

Axel, another young man from Guatemala, came with determination and a deep sense of responsibility to his loved ones. Like Abner—who left his collapsing country to support his family—Axel was known for his respectful nature and tireless work ethic. He worked as a day laborer and was deported suddenly, without a goodbye.

Abner's Story

Abner, a hardworking day laborer from Guatemala, spent years in Princeton, NJ, working up to 65 hours a week to support his wife and young son back home, known for his generosity, humility, and willingness to help others. Despite having no criminal record, he was suddenly detained and deported without the chance to say goodbye, leaving his family in Guatemala struggling to survive.

They are just three of thirteen jornaleros detained or deported during these raids.

These detentions have devastated families overnight. Children are without parents. Homes have lost their primary source of income. We are raising emergency funds to support both the families here and those still caught in the system.

Your donations will go toward:

Legal fees for immigration attorneys

Commissary funds so detainees can buy basic necessities

Phone calls to keep families connected

Direct financial aid to support loved ones left behind

Please give what you can. No amount is too small. And if you’re unable to give right now, sharing this fundraiser with your network is a powerful way to help.

We’re not just raising funds, we’re showing that our community takes care of its own.

Thank you for standing with us.
