Support Will's Heart Transplant Journey
Donation protected
Hi everyone,
My name is Tiffany, and I’m writing to share the story of my incredible cousin, Will.
As Will faces the critical step of a heart transplant, our family is rallying to support him. We're reaching out to ease the financial burden and make this journey a bit easier for him and his parents.
Thank you for your kindness and generosity. Now, in Will's own words, here is his story...
Hello everyone my name is Will,
And here is the story of my heart journey. I am currently going into 11th grade at El Camino High School, but I have been living with a heart condition my whole life. Dealing with a congenital heart disease called Epstein's anomaly and going through two open heart surgeries has been a challenge, but I still manage to find things I can do within the limitations of my heart condition. Things such as participating in my school’s radio program KYDS 91.5 FM, joining my school’s golf team, and excelling at academics.
But now, things are about to change because of my heart condition. I'll need to move to Los Angeles for the heart transplant I need. It won't be easy, but getting a heart transplant is a path to a higher quality of life and its challenges are worth overcoming. After the transplant, I'll need to stay close to LA for anything from 4 to 6 months during my recovery. Many people have asked how they can help, and that's where your support comes in. Your financial support will mean the world to me and my family, as it will help during the months following the surgery. This gofundme is created to help address the monthly bills and family expenses associated with my hospitalization before and after my surgery. This will ease my family’s financial strain during my hospitalization.
My mom and dad plan to share the time in Los Angeles during my recovery, and their love and care mean everything to me. With your support, we can make this journey a little easier for them too.
Your help will shape my future, and lessen the difficulties my family will face to support me. Living with congenital heart disease has taught me to be strong, but I know I can't do it alone. With your support, it will give me the opportunity to participate in activities I love, like playing golf, and also allow me to try new things while I'm here in LA
Any support would be greatly appreciated and go a long way to helping me and my family through this difficult undertaking. I'll make sure to keep you all updated on how things are going throughout my recovery and my life down here in LA.
Thank you so many for the support,
Will
