My name is William Knowles, and I’m grateful that you’ve taken a moment to read my story.

After working at my dream security job for two years, I was laid off in December 2022, along with 30% of the company. I was fortunate enough to find new work in April 2023, but sadly, in late January 2024, I was let go again after ten months with the firm. With only three months of emergency funds, things quickly became difficult, and by February, my car was repossessed.

Fast-forward to today and I find myself completely broke. I’ve been relying on the generosity of friends to help cover essentials like food, rent, and internet service so I can continue searching for work.

Any contributions made through this fundraiser will go directly towards covering my rent and monthly medications. I’ve already come dangerously close to eviction, partly because I hesitated to keep my landlord informed about my situation. Your support would mean the world to me as I strive to regain stability.
