On April 18th, around 2 a.m., my life changed forever. While outside of the 804 Bar, I was the victim of a senseless shooting—shot in the face while standing on the sidewalk. That night, my friend Quinn tragically lost their life, and my friend Atea (Goya) was left paralyzed. We were innocent bystanders, just trying to enjoy our time together, never expecting something so devastating to happen.

Since the tragedy, I have been unable to work and am now facing the overwhelming challenge of healing—physically, emotionally, and financially. I’ve been taking care of myself since I was 16, and asking for help is not easy for me. But right now, I truly need support to stay afloat, relocate, and focus on my recovery.

I am also carrying this journey for my friends who were affected by this tragedy. Everything I’m pushing through is for them, too.

If you know me, you know I work extremely hard everyday and am always there for others. I was the person people called on for help now I’m asking for that same support in return. The road ahead is uncertain, but I am doing everything I can to stay strong and hopeful.
