Our mom, Lisa, is bravely fighting Stage IV lung cancer, and we’re asking for your help to move her into a safe, accessible home during treatment. Lisa is battling Stage IV metastatic NSCLC, with cancer in her lungs, brain, and spine. She is undergoing aggressive treatment, including radiation and chemotherapy, while also managing COPD and being on 24‑hour oxygen. Despite all of this, she continues to work full-time and care for everyone around her—just as she always has. Lisa has always been homey at heart, creating the most beautiful and comfy homes for herself and her kids wherever she is. She deserves a place to call her own—a safe, accessible home where she can focus on her health, maintain her independence, and continue being the strong, loving person she’s always been.

Her biggest need right now is a safe, first‑floor, fully accessible home. She currently lives on a second floor with multiple sets of steps, a long walkway, unsafe conditions, and an uncooperative apartment complex. Even getting from the parking lot to her door leaves her breathless. We are raising funds to help her move into a safe, accessible home and to support her during treatment with things like meal delivery, housekeeping, and essentials that help her keep her independence.

Despite everything she is going through, our mom is still working. She has been with the same company for over 30 years and remains the go‑to person, even taking calls after hours and on weekends. Anyone who knows Lisa knows she is one of the most selfless, caring women in the world. She has devoted her life to her three girls and her grandson, always showing up without hesitation for anyone who needs her. She loves crocheting beautiful blankets and scarves and trying new recipes, but supplies can be expensive, and grocery deliveries often arrive with poor‑quality produce — things she would never pick for herself.

Our hope is to give her the support she has never asked for, in a way that still allows her to keep the independence and routine she values so much. Funds raised will go toward securing a new accessible home, supplementing income during missed time at work for treatment, and providing services like meal deliveries or whatever she needs to be comfortable and safe and most importantly healthy and happy as possibly possible!
