I am reaching out to my community of friends and family to ask for support on behalf of our dear friends, Grace and Nathan Swartzendruber.
Over the past year, life has thrown more at them than most families could reasonably weather. On top of numerous expensive home/car repairs, their family has been facing significant mental health challenges that have left Grace unable to work for the foreseeable future. While there is a supportive care plan in place, the situation has left them struggling to cover their essential living expenses.
Asking for help is something Grace and Nathan never wanted to do, and they’ve struggled with the idea of placing this request on others. But anyone who knows Grace knows that she is the first person to take action when it comes to helping others. Along with her work with the community doulas of Johnson County and immigrant families, she is a community caregiver involved in multiple philanthropic/volunteer efforts. I think many of us have been looking for ways to return the favor of Grace’s kindness. Now is our chance! The funds raised will go directly to covering the immediate needs for themselves and their two sons, along with providing some stability and peace of mind while they work to get back on their feet. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will make a life-changing difference.
If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing this page with your network to help spread the word. Your kindness and compassion mean more than words can express.
With heartfelt gratitude,
