Help the McGlynn Family After Sudden Tragedy
On May 28th, the McGlynn family experienced the unimaginable: the sudden death of my dear friend Eileen’s husband, Pat McGlynn, after a routine colonoscopy. Patrick, a 58-year-old husband of Eileen (Buckley) McGlynn originally from Brooklyn, NY later settled and raised their girls (Caitlin & Regina) in Jackson, NJ.
Pat had worked at the same company for over 20 years. But when his employer converted him to a contractor, he unknowingly lost his disability insurance. Soon after, Pat suffered a massive stroke that left him unable to work. For the last 8 years, his family has been doing everything possible to keep going — using up his entire 401(k) and every bit of savings just to survive.
Pat fought hard to stay with his family, despite long-term health issues. All this while he and his wife cared for their disabled daughter, who still depends on them.
Now, after years of hardship, the final blow came unexpectedly. The McGlynn family is not only grieving, but completely unprepared financially.
They have no money for a funeral — and can’t even cover this month’s mortgage.
How You Can Help
We’re asking for any help you can give — no matter how small — to:
Cover funeral expenses
Pay the immediate mortgage and bills
Support ongoing care for Pat’s disabled daughter
Give his wife a moment to grieve without the crushing weight of financial stress
Thank You
If you can’t donate, please share this page with others. Your support — whether financial or emotional — means the world to a family that’s given everything and asked for nothing.
Thank you for helping honor Pat’s life and support his family in their time of greatest need.
