Support the Martin Family in Their Fight Against Cancer
Help us raise funds to cover the medical expenses of our teammate, Troy Martin, as he prepares to begin treatment for colon cancer.
Dear Friends,
At Life Surge, we believe in the power of prayer, community, and showing up for each other when it matters most. One of our own, Troy Martin, recently received a life-altering diagnosis: colon cancer.
The initial prognosis was difficult. The tumor appeared to be among the largest the surgeon had seen in his career. Based on early assessments, the team of doctors told the Martin family to prepare for an advanced and aggressive Stage 3 or higher cancer. As a company, we responded the way we always do—we prayed, stood in faith, and asked God for a miracle.
And we believe we received one.
The final pathology report came back as aggressive Stage 2 colon cancer. While serious, this diagnosis was far less severe than expected and offers a much clearer path forward for treatment and recovery. We thank God for this incredible news.
But the road ahead is still challenging.
Troy’s medical expenses have already exceeded $100,000—and that’s before treatment has even begun. Unfortunately, many of the procedures and therapies he’ll need are not covered by insurance. The financial burden facing the Martin family is significant.
Troy is not walking through this alone. His family is deeply embedded in the Life Surge mission. His wife serves as one of our Impact Counselors. His daughter, Madison, is our Producer. His son-in-law, Justin, works in Event Logistics. This family has given so much to Life Surge and to those we serve. Now it’s our turn to support them.
We are launching this GoFundMe to help ease the financial strain and give Troy and his family the freedom to focus on his healing. If you’re able, we invite you to contribute. Every donation—large or small—makes a difference. And if you’re not in a position to give, we ask you to continue lifting Troy and his family in prayer and to share this campaign with others.
We’ve already seen one miracle. We’re believing for more.
With gratitude,
