Save the DuBois, PA Haven House Shelter for the Homeless

Hi, I'm Kelli Williams, and I'm raising funds for the Haven House Shelter of DuBois PA. It's the only homeless shelter in our area. For 20+ years the shelter has provided emergency short-term housing, food, and services to homeless individuals and families in crisis. All given free of charge!

The care provided at the shelter is vital, as many in our community struggle with homelessness. In the past 20 years Haven House has provided 22,000 nights of lodging and over 44,000 meals. Almost 20% of our residents have been children.

Sadly, Haven House is at a crossroads. Skyrocketing operational costs, amidst dwindling support donations have let the shelter on the edge of bankruptcy. It takes about $80,000 a year to meet operational costs. But, in the last 4 years, contributions have not even approached this figure; and the organization is, quite simply, on the brink of shutting down!

It will be only through your contributions that we can save the shelter, and continue to provide vital services to the homeless men, women and children of our community. Every dollar will count in helping the shelter assist those who reach out in desperate need of support.
