For those of you who have been following my mom’s diagnosis and treatment journey, you know that she has begun the preliminary preparation for her stem cell transplant, which is scheduled to take place on March 6. While this process has moved quickly, it has also been incredibly challenging and, at times, physically and emotionally exhausting for her.

This next step brings a great deal of hope and optimism, along with the understandable uncertainty that comes with such an intense treatment. Once she receives the transplant, my mom is expected to be hospitalized for up to 30 days. This does not include the additional recovery time after discharge, during which she will still be unable to return to work. This is in addition to the time she has already been out of work due to the extensive preparation required for the transplant.

With that in mind, any support during this time would mean so much to our family, and especially to my mom. Our hope is to help ease some of the financial stress so she can focus fully on her recovery without worrying about falling behind on bills.
