Dear friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers,

I’m reaching out today to share the heartbreaking news of a tragic motorcycle accident involving my dear friend and coworker, Tamra. On the evening of Saturday, November 9, 2024, Tamra was a passenger on a motorcycle driven by her boyfriend Philip, who tragically lost his life in the crash. The accident took place on U.S. 21 in Lexington County, South Carolina, when the motorcycle veered off the road and collided with construction barrels and a road closure sign.

While Philip sadly passed away at the scene, Tamra was taken to Prisma Health Richland Hospital in Columbia for treatment of her injuries. Thankfully, her injuries are not considered life-threatening, but she is facing a long road to recovery. Tamra’s recovery will require significant medical care, rehabilitation, and time off work, putting a strain on her ability to support herself during this challenging period.

What makes this situation even more difficult is that Tamra is a single mother to a special needs child who relies on her for daily care and support. In addition to her physical recovery, Tamra is facing the challenge of maintaining her family’s well-being while managing the financial burden of medical bills, rehabilitation, and lost wages during her time off work.
