This fundraiser wasn’t started by Talia—she’s someone who finds it very difficult to ask for support. I, her friend, am sharing her story because I, and all those who love her, believe she deserves every resource for healing and every opportunity to thrive in every way, on every level in her world. Thank you so much for taking time to consider her. It means so much!
Here’s her story:
“In September 2022, at 28 years old, with a one-year-old and a four-year-old, I was suddenly diagnosed with breast cancer. Overnight, my life shifted into the hardest and most chaotic journey I’ve ever faced.
I was stage 2B. Within weeks I had a mastectomy and lymph node removal, then flew to Hope4Cancer for alternative treatments while also pursuing conventional medicine. For a year, I fought and healed. But then, within a month, my tumor markers spiked.
By Christmas Eve, I was in the ER. Scans showed the cancer had exploded into stage 4—it had spread to my lungs, liver, and bones. Few words can describe all of this.
The new year began with a port surgery, liver biopsy, and six rounds of brutal chemotherapy, plus immunotherapy. I added every integrative treatment I could to protect my healthy cells and support my body through chemo. For a few months, it worked—99% of the cancer was gone.
But stage 4 doesn’t quit. Spots came back in my bones. Radiation cleared them, only for new ones to appear. Then came the worst blow: sudden migraines revealed metastasis to my brain. Four tumors.
Within days, I was told I needed brain surgery. The largest tumor was in my occipital lobe. The surgery was successful—but it left me with permanent vision loss. About 15% of my field of sight is gone. I can no longer drive, read books, or do daily tasks the way I used to.
Since then, I’ve endured brain radiation and more rounds of treatment. The cancer keeps returning in my bones. I started a new round of chemo on August 18th.
And through it all, I’ve refused to give up.
This is the hardest, most humbling experience of my life. It’s come with joy and strength, but also consuming grief, fear, and exhaustion. Every single donation helps give me access to treatment and the ability to keep showing up as a mother, a wife, and a human who still has so much to fight for, be there for, and to create -to bring my family, friends, and the world.
I’m approaching this from every angle—conventional medicine, integrative therapies, nutritional support, mental health, supplements. Every choice I make is thoughtful and research-driven.”
Unfortunately, each of those therapies comes with a price tag.
This comes to where Talia needs additional help. Funds from this campaign will go directly toward:
