Dear Friends and Family,
I’m reaching out with a deeply personal request regarding our ongoing immigration journey—something that has been central to our lives for years now. As many of you know, we’ve poured our time, energy, and financial resources into trying to secure a future together as a family.
Last month, Sushma finally had her immigration interview after two and a half years of preparation with American lawyers. We were filled with hope and believed we were close to the finish line. Unfortunately, her visa was not approved.
It’s hard to put into words how devastating that moment was. It felt like everything we’d been working toward was suddenly slipping away. In her heartbreak. We are still trying.
At this stage, immigration authorities are requesting three additional documents:
A new medical exam/report
A Nepal Police Clearance Certificate (PCC)
A Chinese PCC
We’re managing the cost of the medical exam/report and Nepal PCC—around $500. However, the Chinese PCC is costing $2,500, which is more than we can cover right now.
After all we’ve already invested in this long and difficult process, we are humbly asking for your support. If you are able to contribute toward the cost of the Chinese PCC, it would mean the world to us. Every bit helps.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for considering our request. Your love, support, and belief in our family have carried us through so much already.
With gratitude,
The Ballard Family
