Support Study Abroad Trip For ASL Interpreters To Ireland

Hello, everyone,

My name is Autumn "Zhu Zhu," and I am deaf. After I graduated from the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind, I started my college journey at St. Johns River State College. In May 2025, I will take a summer course called Modern Irish Literature. I'm thrilled to share that, as part of the course, my college will offer a 10 day study abroad opportunity to Ireland. For me to fully engage with my peers and professors on this trip, I will need access to ASL interpreters. The cost of the trip is $3,000 per person which includes airfare, hotel accommodations, and some meals.

This is a self-pay trip-the college does not fund the trip for students. I am raising funds to cover the cost of including two interpreters for the trip. I want to thank St. Johns River State College for providing this opportunity, supporting my journey, and helping me take on this challenge.
