We are starting this campaign on behalf of our wonderful and loving mother, wife, sister, aunt, friend: Sharmel and the Dawson-Tyau Family.
Sharmel was suddenly hospitalized on Saturday 7/20 due to severe stomach pain, which is still being explored by her doctors. She underwent surgery on Sunday 7/21 to remove a mass (the size of a fist!) from her colon as well as an obstruction of her small and large intestines. Unfortunately, ’Mel is still in a lot of pain, but she is slowly recovering and has strong faith that she will get better.

The Dawson-Tyau’s are a family of 7 who are supported by a single income. Sharmel’s sudden health difficulties have brought on stress and worry about the family’s income and paying medical bills for her current hospital stay. At this time, we are reaching out to you all -- a beautiful support network of family, friends, coworkers, and more — to help contribute to the cost of the accumulating medical bills. The funds from this campaign will help lower the family's financial stress tremendously so they can focus on Sharmel regaining her health and recovering as soon as possible.
Sharmel is a beautiful soul who ALWAYS goes above and beyond to support, love, and help others in any way that she can. We just want to return the same kindness and care that Sharmel shows to others on a daily basis.
