Shane, our friend and coworker, and his wife Heather are facing an unimaginable challenge. After some abnormal behavior, Heather convinced Shane to go to the emergency room, where doctors discovered three masses in his brain. Since then, they have been transferred between hospitals and are now at the University of Miami, waiting for surgery and a biopsy. Current imaging is suspicious for an aggressive form of brain cancer, but they are holding onto hope until the biopsy results come back and a treatment plan is made with his team of doctors.

This sudden diagnosis has turned their world upside down. Heather, who works as a travel nurse, has had to leave her contract to be by Shane’s side, and Shane is unable to work as they focus on his treatment. On top of the emotional and physical toll, insurance is becoming an issue with approving necessary treatments. The financial burden is growing as they face mounting medical bills, travel expenses, and everyday living costs during this uncertain time.

Shane is one of our own, and this is a devastating blow to him and his family. They are going to need both financial and emotional support, along with your prayers.
