Hi everyone,

This past weekend was incredibly difficult for our family. On Thursday, May 15th, my boyfriend was in a car accident. Later that same day, as we were driving home after picking up our son from school, something unimaginable happened just a block from our house. Someone shot at our car while the four of us were inside. Thankfully, the kids and my boyfriend weren't hit, but I was shot in the head.

It's truly heartbreaking because this is the kind of thing you see on the news and never think would happen to your own family. We are all traumatized and emotionally shaken right now. My boyfriend has been such a strong support for us, even while dealing with his own pain. I feel so incredibly blessed to be alive and am deeply grateful for our amazing support system. Thank you to everyone who has called to check on us every day.

I truly believe that God has a plan for me and that my time here isn't finished. As I've said before, God and my ancestors are watching over me.

As I will be taking some time off work to recover, we are reaching out to our community for support with upcoming medical and financial expenses. Any assistance you can offer would be deeply appreciated. We feel incredibly fortunate to still be here and able to share our story with you all.
