Yesterday around 9:00am, my stepdaughter Samantha (22) and her mom Aimee’s house caught on fire. It spread incredibly fast, and within moments the entire house was in flames. The fire department believes it may have started from a power strip.

Thankfully, they made it out safely, along with their three cats and one dog. But they lost almost everything. Clothes, furniture, personal belongings, and Aimee’s work inventory from her home business are all gone. Everything that wasn't burned has been heavily damaged by smoke.

Samantha is a very hard worker and a manager at World Market, but even with that, starting over from nothing is incredibly difficult. They are doing their best to process what happened and figure out next steps, but it’s a lot to take on all at once. If you’re able to help in any way or even just share this, it would mean a lot to our family.
