Hi everyone, my name is Roslyn Brown-Mitchell. It is with a heavy heart that I’m raising funds to support my family as my husband of 20 years Kedric Mitchell has passed away unexpectedly the day before New Year’s Eve while visiting Detroit for the holidays. Ked was a devoted father and a hardworking student, balancing college as he worked toward his degree alongside our daughter, Kelsey. He leaves behind two children—one in college and one in high school—who now have to face life without him far sooner than anyone could have imagined.

We live in Washington and were only in Detroit for the holiday season. Now, in the midst of grief, we must return home and pack up and move forward without him—without a plan, and with unexpected travel, funeral, and transition costs ahead.
