Support Rodney Adgate's Road to Health & Recovery

For those who don’t know, RODNEY ADGATE (a disabled Air Force Veteran), has been battling serious financial burden after falling ill and being found unresponsive on lunch in his vehicle while working.

On January 28,2025 our world was turned upside down when Rodney’s son Nick was notified that Rodney was rushed via ambulance to the nearest local Batavia, NY hospital, with no other details and that he needed to leave Buffalo to meet at the hospital ASAP. It was only then that PARAMEDICS, EMT, and doctors told us that “had he not been found by his coworker when he was, that he may not be here today.”

After various monitoring, screening, testing, imaging, blood work diagnostics and spending countless days and nights in the ICU with his son at his side, we were told that he has sustained a stroke. This lead to numerous nights spent in the cardiac and stoke evaluation treatment center at Rochester Regional Medical Center. RODNEY while hospitalized, had also been diagnosed with with a serious traumatic brain injury; requiring an invasive EMERGENCY life sustaining surgery. (His second in his lifetime, first being a Brain Aneurysm). He is due to have another life sustaining surgery in the near future.

This without doubt, has caused him unable to preform the basic functions of his job, and return to employment in the foreseeable future. Currently, Rodney is awaiting another NECESSARY for survival scheduled neurological and artery surgery, which will require rehabilitation services of: Physical, and Occupational Therapy, along with Speech and possibly feeding Therapy services in the future.

Since this life-threatening incident at work, Rodney has since been terminated from a job he so very deeply loved and was passionate about, that also engaged his mind and kept it active. With this it’s evident that this comes with a hefty medical bill! Rodney was the sole-provider for his household-he and his loving wife, who too is unable to work to to a debilitating disease.

Rodney’s family is working tirelessly to support their family, while his Son Nicholas, also has been involved around the clock in Rodney’s Road to Health & Recovery, by contacting doctors via phone in between work, taking trips out to Batavia, (while his dad hospitalized Rochester) and back, managing healthcare and finances, updating his other siblings, all while managing his own affairs, but he and his family “just can’t manage this alone anymore.”

On top of unthinkable emotional distress, the financial strain is overwhelming. As a means to elevate the cost associated with medical expenses, and daily life living expenses and necessities this GoFundMe has been created to give back to a man who has given service to our country both by serving in the AirForce, and by working at the VA.

*[ALL funds collected and received will go directly into a beneficiary medical account that will pay for medical care expenses along with any outstanding household bills necessary for survival (gas, electric) that have accrued during this timeframe!]*

Rodney has a long Road to Health & Recovery ahead of him, but with family, friends and a strong team behind him we can fly through!

We greatly understand if you do not have means to donate, but kindly ask that you please pass along this GoFundMe as “every penny counts”. & please above all just continue to pray, as it alone creates miracles!. ❤️

On behalf of Rodney’s Family, Thank you for taking the time to read Rodney’s Story of strength and resilience while he’s on the road to health & recovery. ❤️
