Richard is living with Crohn's disease for years managing it with strength and determination. But November 2024, his health suddenly took a serious turn. Since then, he has been in and out of the hospital, undergoing countless test and seeing numerous specialists- yet still without a clear diagnosis. While he was repeatedly told he had pneumonia, pulmonary specialists have ruled that out. The underlying issues remains a mystery. This past Mother's Day, Richard underwent emergency surgery to remove a blood clot. The procedure was extensive and has left him facing a long and uncertain road to recovery. For the last six months, Richard has continued working as a regional truck driver to support his wife and children- despite worsening health and mounting medical appointments.
