I’m starting this GoFundMe for the Reyes family, who I’ve known for over 10 years and care deeply about.

On Friday, January 23rd around 6:30 PM, a fire completely destroyed a neighboring tire shop and later spread to Reyes Body Shop and another nearby business, devastating everything the family worked so hard to build. They tried to save what they could, but debris and unsafe conditions made it impossible.

Reyes Body Shop has served the community since 2009. Its owner, Aaron Reyes, is one of the hardest-working people I know — a loving father who has dedicated his entire life to his family and to helping others. After years of sacrifice, his dream shop was taken from him.

Now, the Reyes family — including my best friend Axel — and their employees are urgently trying to relocate, with a real risk of being out of business for some time.

Ayer, viernes 23 de enero alrededor de las 6:30 PM, un incendio destruyó por completo un taller de llantas vecino. Aunque al principio parecía estar controlado, el fuego se extendió hacia Reyes Body Shop hoy en la mañana. Intentaron sacar lo que podian, pero los escombros y las condiciones inseguras causadas por el primer incendio lo hicieron imposible.

Reyes Body Shop es un taller familiar que ha servido a la comunidad desde el 2009. El dueño, Aaron Reyes, es una de las personas más trabajadoras que conozco. Es un padre amoroso que rara vez toma días libres y ha dedicado toda su vida a apoyar a su familia y ayudar a los demás. Después de años de esfuerzo, finalmente tenía el taller de sus sueños, y ahora está destruido.

Ahora, la familia Reyes, mi mejor amigo Axel, y sus empleados, están tratando de encontrar un lugar temporal para trabajar. Existe una posibilidad real de que estén fuera de servicio por algún tiempo.
