Support Public Health for all Ohioans
Tax deductible
Now more than ever, Public Health needs your support. Ohioans, along with rest of the country, are facing several prominent threats to public health. The ongoing Coronavirus pandemic has significantly impacted our communities, changing daily living across the country and cutting a swath of death and disability in our hardest hit communities. Coinciding with these events, some of our most trusted institutions and public health leaders have been targeted with attacks intended to discredit or demean.
WHY NOW?
While the Pandemic continues to run its course, OPHA has had to cancel or delay some of its prime financial resource development activities – our nursing, vital stats and the Public Health Combined Conferences all have been put on hold. These educational events were also opportunities when we could count on membership renewals or new members joining OPHA.
Public health professionals are taking these threats to public health head on. From the epidemiologists, biostatisticians, health educators, and public health nurses on the front lines of the Coronavirus pandemic, to the public health advocates identifying systemic racism as a major threat to the health of our communities, public health professionals need our support.
The Ohio Public Health Association is THE inclusive voice for Public Health in Ohio. Our wide-ranging membership includes nurses, epidemiologists, educators, local health department administrators, staff and physicians. We proactively advocate for policies that reduce health disparities and promote health equity for all Ohioans. We empower people and communities to achieve optimal health through awareness and advocacy. We facilitate the advancement of public health practice in Ohio through professional education opportunities. And, right now, we need your help.
Help the Ohio Public Health Association provide continued support to our valued public health professionals by contributing to this campaign. We will continue to provide opportunities for collaboration, communication, capacity building, education and be the voice for public health advocacy with your support.
