Play Together Flag Football

Welcome to Play Together Flag Football, where passion for sports meets community empowerment. Founded by high school varsity football players Brody and Lucas Handwerger, our mission is to harness the power of sports to foster teamwork, confidence, and personal growth among children and adolescents.

Play Together Flag Football was born out of a desire to make a positive impact in our community. We believe that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive in a supportive environment, regardless of financial barriers. Our programs are designed to create inclusive spaces where young athletes can develop essential life skills while having fun.

We partner with the Coachman Family Center in White Plains, NY, and the Boys and Girls Club in Mount Vernon, NY, to provide engaging after-school programs. These activities focus on building teamwork, confidence, and a love for sports games.

Play Together Flag Football’s annual flag football tournament at Camp Sunshine in Casco, Maine , a camp for children with cancer and their families is a highlight for many campers, bringing excitement and camaraderie while fostering lasting friendships and unforgettable memories.

Through fundraising and community support, Play Together Flag Football offer scholarships to ensure that financial constraints do not prevent young athletes from attending summer camps and after-school programs.
