My mom, Phyll, aka Mrs. Phyll, aka Grandma Phyll, aka Mom, had several falls that resulted in a fractured right femur, fractured right shoulder, possible fractured left ankle, and minor facial lacerations. They had to bring her to Denver to St. Anthony’s for an emergency surgery on her femur. We know for sure we will be spending several days here. We are then hoping that the inpatient care and physical therapy can be done in Burlington; if not, then she will remain here for several weeks. My dad and I are going to be staying by her side no matter what or where we are. This will mean lots of trips either back and forth to Burlington or Denver to keep things going at home as well as with Mom. Fuel, hotel, and food costs will definitely be adding up. We don’t want anyone to feel inclined to help, but we will be most appreciative of help, prayers, and thoughts for us through this journey.
