Support Pen’s Father’s Medical Treatment

My friend Pen’s father is in the hospital due to a severe decline in his health. Her and her family have been trying to fund his hospital stay which costs about 2k-3k CAD a day. Her mom has left work to fly back to the Philippines to take care of him during this time. It was recommended by a doctor at the hospital that he goes through bypass surgery but it is very expensive and he may be too weak to make it through. The family is trying hard to keep him in the ICU but due to the high costs they may not be able to continue doing this. He is currently suffering from acute gastroenteritis, severe dehydration, sepsis secondary to infection, Chronic kidney disease stage 5, and Coronary artery disease. Those have been the initial diagnosis during admission. More tests are being done because more symptoms are showing up, so the family is continuing to wait for more information.
