Help the Butorac Family
We all love Mountain’s updates from Rome on social media. Many of us have traveled with him and know there’s nothing like seeing the holy sites with him.
In this time of uncertainty, small businesses have been hit hard. And in the tourism industry? Even harder.
Almost all his day tours and pilgrimages have been cancelled. News came yesterday that the Passion Play in Oberammergau is being postponed until 2022.
Most of us have chosen to travel with Mountain precisely because he was a small business - a devoted Catholic who has a passion for sharing the cities and churches and pilgrim sites he loves. His pilgrimages and day pilgrimages are vastly different from those manufactured by the large corporations and travel companies. It's what sets him apart. But it's also what makes this time so dangerous for the future of his work. Mountain has built this business from the ground up, and he doesn't have the same support that large pilgrimage companies have.
Mountain has helped hundreds of thousands of us explore our faith through travel. Let’s band together and show some love for the Butoracs. We may not be able to travel to Rome right now, but we can help them buy a pizza for dinner tomorrow.
I've set a goal, but I hope it goes much higher so we can keep traveling with him.
I’m just a friend that has had the privilege of leading 7 trips with Mountain. I hope he forgives me for doing this.
