In mid-March, 4 teenage girls arrived in San Francisco from Afghanistan, where women are persecuted and it is illegal to be educated. These women are so brave and are pursuing their dreams of freedom and an education on a legal student visa. They are top students and have received full ride scholarships to a private high school in the bay area. It is a tremendous blessing for them and truly a chance at a life they have long only dreamed of!

The four host families (The Ashlock, Balsitis, Cruz and Chesavage families) already love them and are providing for their needs as members of their families. Many of you have asked how you can help. A larger community to help support these brilliant and kind women would be so helpful for extra opportunities. We have started this fund to help support these young women to expand their extra curricular opportunities and give them the best resources possible for their success.
