Hi! We are Nrityamala, the University of Pittsburgh's premier Indian classical dance team. Founded in 2006, our team consists of passionate dancers trained in various classical dance forms, including Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi. Each year, Nrityamala choreographs its own pieces and performs them at competitions, local cultural events, and other venues. Nrityamala has played a significant role in inspiring young dancers to continue to learn and grow, and they constantly strive to promote respect and appreciation for the Indian arts and culture in the Pittsburgh community.

This year, we will be traveling to national competitions!! However, limited school funding poses a challenge in covering the expenses associated with participating in these competitions. We are seeking your help to cover these costs and would love your support in making these trips possible! Your generous donations will contribute towards covering application fees, registration fees, hotel accommodations, transportation, and miscellaneous competition expenses. We would love to showcase our hard work and dedication we have put in by presenting our captivating performances for families, friends and the dance community across the nation, all while sharing a compelling message through our piece!
