We — Thomas, Marco, and Chuck — are creating this fundraiser for our dear friend Matthew, because he would never ask for help himself. If you know Matthew, you know he’s spent his entire career running toward emergencies as an EMT, giving his time, energy, and heart to anyone who needed him. He’s shown up for friends, family, and total strangers on their hardest days. Now he’s the one who needs support.

On November 7, 2025, Matthew suffered a sudden and devastating stroke that changed his life instantly. He has been unable to work since, and the mounting medical bills from his hospital stay, treatments, therapy, and ongoing recovery are overwhelming. On top of these unexpected expenses, he still needs to keep up with his monthly medical insurance and help support his family while focusing on healing.

Losing the ability to work — especially in a job that gives him such purpose — has been incredibly hard for him. His greatest wish is to recover enough to return to the community he loves serving. But right now, the financial strain is standing in the way of his recovery.
