My name is Monica, and I recently graduated with my associate's degree. I was excited to start a new chapter, actively searching and interviewing for jobs. Life took an unexpected turn when I went in for my annual mammogram. The doctors found something unusual, and after further testing, I was diagnosed with a mildly aggressive form of breast cancer.

This diagnosis has changed everything. I will need surgery soon, and my recovery will take at least a month. After that, I’ll begin treatment five times a week for six weeks. Because of this, I am unable to work right now and am still looking for remote opportunities that can fit around my treatment schedule.
