Support my cat’s road to recovery ❤️‍

Edit: in the middle of setting this page up he had a seizure and I am currently taking him to an emergency vet. Please help in anyway you can, thank you!

Hi, this fundraiser is for my cat Mike. He is a 13 year old diabetic cat who me and my mom rescued back in 2019 after we saw him one day with a limp and a hurt eye. He’s affectionate, playful, and protective of other younger cats who he treats like siblings. He has been living happily and full of energy ever since despite his diabetes, but recently he has developed a severe inner ear infection that has left him essentially disabled. His motor skills have deteriorated and his eye movements are erratic. He thrashes when we attempt to help him in the litter box and overall I’m fearing he won’t get better.

He has been to the vet twice so far. The first time was for what we thought was a regular ear infection. It seemed like it went away with the medications, but he rapidly developed more severe symptoms so we took him for a second visit on Saturday. It was then determined to be an inner ear infection but the symptoms already worsened in that time.

I still have hope, but for that hope to stay strong I need financial security to continue his treatment and hopefully get him back on his feet. We just recently moved to a new apartment and paid for a dental procedure for another cat, plus my hours at work were cut as well. The timing couldn’t be any worse. I don’t want to fall into debt and not be able to afford rent, bills, food etc and I don’t want Mike to die due to lack of funds over an ear infection of all things.

If you have the means to help my cat go back to his normal self and enjoy the rest of his years in comfort and with his usual energy, please consider donating for his cause. I understand the world is in a state at the moment and there are lots of other people struggling as well, but my cats are extremely important to me and are my family. I hate to see them suffering unnecessarily due to rising vet costs and what should be easily treatable illnesses.

Donations will go directly towards his treatment and to cover the costs of his previous hospital/vet visits since that ate into my funds for bills and rent.
