Hello! My name is Hannah and my dearest friend's sweet baby girl was impacted in the devastating shooting. Melany is a 15-year-old victim of the Apalachee High School shooting in Winder, Georgia, on September 4, 2024. She has 3 other precious siblings and a loving mother and father who are absolutely devastated.

Melany was shot in the shoulder and is at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and will have to have two surgeries on her shoulder, as the bullet broke the bone that connects the shoulder to the arm. Melany’s life is going to be forever changed. Her childhood has been stripped from her. She’s a normal young teen who loves to be with friends, play soccer, and spend time with family, and none of those hobbies will ever be the same now.
