Support Me in Supporting My Mom and My Education

Hi, I'm RJ, age 18. Hopefully I'm about to embark on my second year at Kean University, aiming for a degree in sports science.

I've started a GoFundMe to support my mom, the cornerstone of my life and my unwavering cheerleader. Despite the challenges of being a teenage single parent, she ensured I lacked nothing, simultaneously chasing her own dreams. Her resilience saw her through high school and later college, where she earned a degree in Early Childhood Education.

Her dedication to my upbringing was evident—she was always there, from chaperoning trips to coaching my softball team, which she introduced me to at 10. Even after her Lupus diagnosis four years ago, she didn't slow down, balancing coaching, further education, and celebrating our academic milestones amid a pandemic.

Witnessing her relentless commitment to our family, I'm driven to lighten her load. I've taken up work, hoping to contribute to our expenses and secure my continued education at Kean. With her health faltering, I aim to ease her burdens, even if just a bit. Every contribution to this fund is a step towards my tuition and perhaps a car to improve her mobility/our mobility.
