Help me free McCoy and get him to his forever home.
McCoy was one of the 1,605 wild horses that were rounded up from the Clan Alpine Complex last November. He has been at the BLM Palomino Valley Holding Facility. The four numbers on his hip indicate that he is destined to go to long-term holding. Since November, I have visited the holding facility several times, only to see this heartbroken wild stallion looking under, pacing, and constantly standing near the fence where the mares and foals that were also rounded up from Clan Alpine are held. You probably remember him by my posts. Every time I visited, there he was still standing faithfully by the fence. My heart breaks for him.
I don't feel that he should spend the rest of his life out at a long-term holding facility. I reached out to Freedom Reigns sanctuary to see if he could have a forever home there. Alicia and her kind heart and the staff at the facility are willing to give him a forever home, but I need some help with transport costs.
I'm also working on getting a few of his family members as well.
