Support Mariah and Kids After Home Loss

My name is Kayla Castro and I am starting this GoFundMe for my sister Mariah and her two children, Jizelle and Joel.

On Thursday, July 18th, 2024, she lost her home due to a fire in her building. Thankfully, she, the kids, and their dog were able to evacuate. However, due to the extensive damage that the fire caused, the city authorities have said no residents will be able to move back in the foreseeable future. Now, she has to find somewhere else to live on short notice, find somewhere safe for the kids during the day, and is unable to take off from work because she obviously needs the money. She will need groceries, clothes, toiletries, furniture, and enough for the first month and security in a new place.

While Mariah is a very hard worker and too prideful to ask for help, in times like this, we have to depend on our community. If you know Mariah, she would give the shirt off her back if anyone she knew ever needed it. She has been my backbone and my support in my times of need, and I know she has been for others as well.
