Hi Friends!
In September I will be traveling to Kona, Hawaii, to join Youth With A Mission (YWAM). Initially, I will participate in a three month Disciple Training School (DTS) and then I head overseas for three months of mission work, reaching people in some of the most difficult places in the world.
I am so excited to start this new season in my life! As high school wound down for me, I have been praying and asking God to guide me into what would be next in my life. I want to serve God and reach people with my life, especially using my musical gifts for His glory! I felt led to apply to YWAM in Kona and was accepted! I can’t wait to grow and serve God in new and challenging ways!
In the fall (October - December) I will do the DTS, which is a lecture and training phase. YWAM brings in world-class pastors and leaders to help us grow in our faith and equip us for live mission work. During the lecture phase I will be in a track called “Fire and Fragrance”, focused on Worship and Prayer.
Then I will spend January-March in a different country for outreach. The exact country will be chosen during the lecture phase, and could change at the last minute because of Covid (of course!). Thankfully, I’ve been able to be vaccinated so I will have more opportunities! Some possible destinations are South Africa, Asia, or even the Middle East.
I am raising support here for the outreach portion of my YWAM experience as I am serving abroad and sharing the gospel in some of the hardest to reach parts of the world. The money will go towards food, housing, travel and ministry for the three months I am overseas. (I’ve been working and saving to be able to pay for the lecture/training portion already - thanks to God for getting a great job during Covid!)
