Lincoln will be three years old in June, and his journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. Two days before his second birthday, he was diagnosed with ATRT, a very rare and aggressive brain tumor. Thanks to the extraordinary skill of his surgeon, Dr. Zoeller, Lincoln’s initial tumor resection went very well, giving him a fighting chance without any detriment to his cognitive function.

After surgery, Lincoln endured two separate weeks of chemotherapy, followed by three sessions of heavy dose chemotherapy and stem cell replacement over three months. After a month at home, his family traveled to Seattle for six weeks of proton radiation, totaling thirty treatments. Throughout this journey, his daddy, mommy, baby brother (who was just nine days old when Lincoln was diagnosed), grandma, and Papou have been by his side every step of the way.

Now, Lincoln faces another surgery in the coming week. His MRI at the end of March, six weeks after his last radiation treatment, showed a new growth in the axial falx. The next MRI, just three and a half weeks later, revealed that the growth had doubled in size. So many unknowns remain, and we had hoped his treatment would eliminate the cancer growth. Lincoln is an amazing little warrior, acting like any other bright child—full of questions and fascination with construction, always carrying his measuring tape. His care has been all-consuming, and we do not know what is ahead post-surgery. Hopefully, Lincoln can enter a trial, but we will know more once the current growth is removed.

Lincoln’s family’s resources have been drained, as his dad had to step back from work to care for him these past eleven months. All funds received will go to Lincoln’s family for his care and monthly necessary expenses. Thank you for your donations and please keep him in your thoughts and prayers. Your support means everything to our family as Lincoln continues his brave fight.
