My name is Kristin Jackson. I have been a hairstylist for 20 years in NJ and NYC. This year during Pride month, I came up with a fun way to raise funds for the LGBT+ community. I hand-colored hair extensions to coordinate with different pride flags, and each time a client made a donation to an LGBT+ fund, I installed a hair extension into their hair. I originally did it for fun, but it ended up being pretty successful, and so many of my clients and fellow stylists loved the idea! I ended up expanding and now have extensions to raise money for Planned Parenthood, animal charities, and other causes!

So now I am here raising money to make my idea bigger. I want to turn it into a registered non-profit so that more stylists can participate and we can make an even bigger impact all year round.

If you donate to this GoFundMe, you will help me with the upfront costs of registering a non-profit and getting it off the ground. My initial goal is just to pay for the cost of registration but any additional funds will go towards marketing and other costs.

Please consider this as more of a loan for a future donation rather than a gift to me. If I achieve my goal of becoming a 501c3, I will reimburse your donation in the form of a donation to the non-profit, where you can then use the donation as a deduction when you do your taxes for 2026.
