Kortney's wheelchair track fund
Spende geschützt
Kortney is 17 years old, and was involved in a tragic vehicle accident at the age of 6. She suffered multiple injuries along with trauma to two levels of the spinal cord and fractured vertebrae that changed her life forever. Kortney is now quadraplegic. Although, she has healed in many ways, she has not regained the use of her legs and uses a wheelchair.
Kortney is a delightful and inspiring young lady with great potential. It has been a miracle that Kortney has not only found the love of adapted sports, but has a true natural ability. Adapted sports has been a wonderful recreational therapy for her, and she is passionate about it as well. It has definitely given her confidence, strength, and something to look forward to. She has an opportunity to compete in the track and field division this summer at a Junior National level. If we can get her there, it will give her an opportunity to eventually be able to compete at an adult paralympic level, and make it to Paralympics in 2016. We are hoping to raise enough money to cover the cost of the trip to make her dreams a reality.
