Please Help Kimberly Todd Rebuild After Losing Everything in the Asheville Floods

On September 27, 2024, devastating storms tore through Asheville, NC, leaving a path of destruction. Among those deeply affected was my dear friend, Kimberly Todd, who lost everything she owned in the blink of an eye.

Kim was in the process of moving when the unthinkable happened. Her car, packed with all her possessions, was swept away as the river swelled an unimaginable 24 feet in just 20 minutes. Kim could only watch helplessly as the floodwaters claimed her car, her belongings, and her sense of security. The home she was living in was also destroyed, along with much of her surrounding community.

Kim is a proud and resilient woman, someone who has always faced life’s challenges with grace and determination. But this tragedy has left her starting over with nothing but the clothes on her back. After much convincing, Kim has agreed to let us rally around her during this incredibly difficult time.

Kim urgently needs transportation, clothing, and a safe place to live. More than that, she needs to know that she is not alone—that her community is here to support her as she rebuilds her life from scratch.

Every donation, no matter the size, will make a huge difference in helping Kim start over. Your generosity will provide her with the essentials she needs. She will purchase a new car, buy clothing, gain housing, and the wares to furnish her house. If you know Kim, you know that she is very resourceful and will create a beautiful space for herself.
