My name is Chasity, and this is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to write. I am asking for help for my family because we are reaching the end of what we can carry on our own. In December, my husband Kian had a terrible accident. Since then, instead of getting better, he has been gradually getting worse. He can’t work, he struggles every day, and he relies heavily on me for almost everything. We applied for disability months ago, but it still hasn’t gone through. We have no timeline, no answers, and no income coming in from him. On top of that, earlier this year I fought my own cancer battle. I tried to jump back into life as fast as possible, but the truth is, my body and my energy have never fully bounced back. I am still dealing with the medical fallout, the exhaustion, and the stress that came with it — all while trying to stay strong for my family. We have two small children who have been trying to understand why everything feels so heavy and uncertain. They deserve stability, safety, and a home where they can just be kids. Right now, I am working as hard as I possibly can, but the bills are bigger than what one person can shoulder alone. Our rent has fallen behind, our situation is becoming urgent, and we need to move by the end of this month. I’m trying to find a safe home for us, switch the kids to a new school, and find a reliable car so I can keep working — but I cannot make it all happen without help.
