I’ve created this on behalf of my best friend Kayla, to show her support while she fights Brain Cancer for the second time. If you haven’t had the pleasure of meeting Kayla, you should know that she is fun, crazy…loud…. and also one of the most selfless, kind-hearted, genuine people you will meet. An amazing wife and the absolute best momma to 2 little boys, a loyal friend and someone who puts family above all else.

On 10/15/24, Kayla started chemotherapy for the second time in the past 6 years for a very rare, aggressive brain tumor. In 2018, she was diagnosed with a H3 G34-Mutant Diffuse Hemispheric Glioma. Kayla went through 15 months of chemo, proton therapy and radiation (and a pregnancy! Insert miracle baby #1). She had beaten Cancer for the first time, but the doctors told Kayla she would never be in remission. Over the past few months, Kayla’s MRI’s are not “boring” like they had been for a few years. She has developed right side weakness, barely able to use her right arm and leg, has loss of motor functions and 50% of her speech is slurred. “Betty” the Brain Tumor is back, but Kayla is ready to fight again!
